About Our Premade Templates

All our pre-made and custom templates are quick loading, browser and operating system friendly and are made to view correctly at 800x600 or 1024x768 screen resolutions and we use CSS to ensure that your templates remain unaffected by changes made by eBay. To make using our pre-made templates convenient, we also host the graphics, not including your personalized graphic, or photos.

We do not offer no-right-click JavaScripts (they do not work), colored scroll bars (IE compatible only), or any CSS that alters anything outside the description area. Our templates comply 100% to eBays policies. Quoted from the eBays listing policy:

“eBay does not permit the use of the following types of
JavaScript functions in your item listing:
HTML or JavaScript that automatically overwrites any area
on the listing outside of the item description area.”

Our pre-made and custom templates will work with Turbo Lister and any listing service that accepts HTML. Copy/paste the completed HTML either into eBays “Enter your own HTML” description area or Turbo Lister's Enter your Description “HTML View”.

IMAGE HOSTING: Although we do host all the graphics that come with our pre-made templates, you will need to be able to host your own photos and custom graphics. Before you look into finding an image host, check out your own ISP. You may have space available at no cost. There are several highly recommended images hosts available that offer free and paid accounts. If you have never tried hosting your own images and photos, we will be more than happy to help you. Besides, once you learn how to host your own photos, you will be able to have as many photos in your auction at no charge!

PC USERS: No HTML knowledge is needed to use our pre-made templates. Included with each pre-made template is a TPL file. A link to download a small very easy to use program call TagBot by ISDN*tek will be provided. After installing the program you will be able to open the TPL file, fill in the blanks, and export the code. You never have to even look at the raw HTML!

MAC USERS: Some HTML experience is necessary to use our pre-made templates since the software used for the TPL file only available for the PC.

PC & MAC USERS: If you are comfortable with editing HTML, a HTML and TXT file is supplied so you can edit this template manually using most HTML editors or text editors. The editors that we recommend are: Notepad, SimpleText, 1stPage2000, or Dreamweaver. Although FrontPage can be used, it must be used with some caution: 1) Work in the HTML mode only; 2) When you are done editing your template, save it as a TXT file; 3) Do not flip between the Normal and Preview modes. FrontPage automatically inserts or “fixes” the HTML, inline CSS and/or Javascript used in our (or any other template) templates.

SUPPORT: Although we try to do most support through e-mail, sometimes it may be necessary to give a little support by phone. If you are new to HTML, have questions, or need some step-by-step instructions, feel free to contact us by phone at your own expense.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Some of your pre-made templates only show one picture, can I add more?
Yes. If you use the TPL file, you will have the option to add up to three photos. If you are using the HTML or the TXT files, you simply copy/paste the appropriate code and add your photo URLs.

I have never used any custom templates, are they easy use?
For the most part, yes. For PC users, you can download TagBot and simply fill in the blanks. And the HTML and TXT files that are also supplied are heavily commented with instructions that are easy to follow - even for those that have little HTML knowledge.

How many times may I use the template?
It is yours to use as long and as many times as you wish. Our pre-made templates are not to be re sold at any time and are for your individual use only.

Can I just use the photos off my computer in your templates?
No. You must up load your photos and images on a server that is configured to be viewed on the Internet. If you link to photos on your computer, you will be the only one able to view them.

I am not sure I am ready to use pre-made or custom templates, what should I try first?
You will never know - unless you do try! We always suggest purchasing an inexpensive pre-made template first. See if it is something you like before investing more into custom templates and pages.
